The right length for the dress
What counts as the right length depends on the dress and on the person wearing it. We find the point where the hem best suits the leg and the whole garment, and take it up to there. If you're unsure, you can give us a preferred length or a measurement when you order, and we'll adjust the dress to it.
The hem to suit fabric and cut
How the hem is sewn depends on the dress's fabric and cut. A straight hem, an invisible blind hem, a hem in light, thin fabric or a lined dress each need different handling, and we choose the method to suit the garment so the edge is clean and hangs even. Feel free to describe the fabric when you order, so we know what we're working with.
Length only – other changes
This service is about the length of the dress. If the dress also needs taking in so it sits closer, or the waist adjusted, we handle those as separate alterations – see taking in clothes and waist adjustment. Choose the service and briefly tell us about the dress and your preferred length when you order online. We pick the dress up at home or work, or you drop it at a service point or partner store – you choose the shipping method in your order. Once the dress is hemmed, we send it back to you.

Can you take the dress in at the same time?+
