Adjusting the fit of a suit and blazer
A suit bought off the rack or inherited rarely fits perfectly from the start. We take in the waist and taper the cut of the jacket, shorten the sleeves and correct the length, so the line from shoulder to waist is clean and the suit looks tailored. It can be a single adjustment or several together – tell us what you'd like, and we adapt it to the garment's fabric and cut.
Jacket, sleeves and trousers
We tailor both the jacket and the trousers. On the jacket we can take it in at the sides, taper the cut and shorten the sleeves, and on the trousers we can take in the waist and adjust the length. How much can be changed depends on the seam allowance and how the garment is constructed – some lined jackets and finer qualities need extra care, and we assess that for the individual piece.
One adjustment or the whole suit
If you only need the sleeves shortened, we can do exactly that – see sleeve shortening. If the trousers need hemming, see trouser hemming. If you want the whole suit to sit better, we take on several adjustments in the same round. Include your measurements and what feels wrong in the fit when you order, so we can work out what's needed.

Choose the service and briefly tell us about the suit and what you want tailored when you order online. We pick the suit up at home or work, or you drop it at a service point or partner store – you choose the shipping method in your order. Once the suit is tailored, we send it back to you.

Can you tailor a suit bought off the rack?+
Yes. An off-the-rack suit rarely fits perfectly from the start, and that's exactly what we adjust. We take in the waist, taper the cut, shorten the sleeves and correct the length according to the garment's fabric and cut, so it sits right on you.
Can you take in the jacket at the waist?+
Yes, we take the jacket in at the sides and taper the cut from the original seams, so the shape is preserved. How much can be taken in depends on the seam allowance and how the jacket is made – describe the fit when you order.
Can you tailor both the jacket and trousers at the same time?+
Yes. We can adjust the whole suit in the same round – take in and taper the jacket, shorten the sleeves and take in or hem the trousers. Tell us what you'd like for each piece when you order.
Do I only need the sleeves shortened?+
If all you need is shorter sleeves, we can do exactly that – see our sleeve shortening page. If the whole suit should sit better, we take on several adjustments together.
