A zipper that jams, loses teeth or slides open by itself is the most common damage we see – and rarely a reason to throw away a good garment. Our craftspeople replace or repair the zipper so your jacket, trousers or bag work like new. Order online, and we pick up at home or work, or you send the garment in.
When a zipper should be replaced
Sometimes a repair is enough: a zipper that has snagged or lost a stopper can often be fixed without a full replacement. Other times the teeth are worn or the slider is broken, and then we replace the whole zipper. We assess the garment and choose the option that gives it the longest life – if you briefly describe what's wrong when you order, we're well prepared when the garment arrives.
Zippers in jackets, trousers and bags
We replace zippers in most things: jackets and shell jackets, trousers and overalls, children's clothing, dresses, bags and backpacks. We work with both regular zippers and two-way separating zippers that open fully at the front of jackets, and we match length, type and colour as closely to the original as possible.
We find the right zipper
You don't need to know which type of zipper your garment has – we'll figure that out. We choose the right length, material and slider type for the garment, whether it's a rugged zipper for a winter jacket or a fine, discreet zipper for a dress. If a down or shell jacket also needs its water repellency restored, we can re-proof it in the same round.
How to order
Choose the service and briefly describe what's wrong with the zipper when you order online. We then pick the garment up at home or work, or you drop it at a service point or partner store – you choose the shipping method in your order. Once the zipper is replaced, we send the garment back to you, ready to wear.

How much does it cost to replace a zipper?+

Can you repair the zipper instead of replacing it?+
Often yes. If the zipper has snagged, lost a stopper or has a bent slider, we can frequently repair it without replacing the whole zipper. If the teeth are worn or the slider is broken, we replace the whole zipper.
Can you replace the zipper on a down or shell jacket?+
Yes. We replace zippers on down, shell and outdoor jackets so the jacket keeps its function, including the two-way zippers that open fully at the front. If the jacket also needs new water repellency, we can re-proof it at the same time.
Do I need to know which zipper my garment has?+
No. Briefly describe what's wrong, and we'll find the right zipper in the right length, type and colour for the garment. If anything is unusual, we'll get in touch before doing the work.
How long does a zipper replacement take?+
It depends on the garment and how extensive the job is. You get a confirmation when we receive the garment, and you can follow the status of your order until it's sent back.
