Bag Repair – Give It New Life Instead of Throwing It Out
A bag with a broken zip, a loose strap, a split seam or a torn lining is usually worth repairing. We repair bags and gear, so you don't have to buy a replacement. Order online, we pick up at home or work, repair it, and send the bag back ready to use – and you see the price before you order.
The most common bag repairs
Most bags fail at the same points: the zip, the strap, the seams or the lining. A zip that won't close, a strap that comes loose, a seam that splits or a lining that's worn or torn – these are all repairable. We look at what the bag needs and carry out the repair so it's usable again, instead of the bag ending up in the bin.
Bag zips
A bag zip that won't close often just needs a new slider – the teeth are usually fine, it's the slider that's worn. In that case we can replace it rather than the whole zip. If the zip is more badly damaged, we replace it. Describe what's wrong when you order, and we'll assess what it needs.
Straps, seams and lining
A strap that has come loose, or the point where the strap is fixed, can be re-stitched or replaced so the bag is usable again instead of being retired. Split seams we re-stitch, and a worn or torn lining can be repaired or replaced. Repairing a bag you already own extends its life and saves you buying a new one.
How to order
Choose the service and briefly tell us what the bag needs when you order online. We pick the bag up at home or work, or you drop it at a service point or partner store – you choose the shipping method in your order. Once the bag is repaired, we send it back to you.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to repair a bag?+
The price depends on what the bag needs – a new zip slider is different from replacing a strap or a lining. You see the price before you order – see the full price list on our prices page.
The zip on my bag won't close – does the whole zip need replacing?+
Not necessarily. When a zip won't close, the teeth are usually fine – it's the slider that's worn. In that case, replacing just the slider is often enough rather than the whole zip. Describe the problem when you order, and we'll assess what it needs.
Can you fix a loose or broken strap?+
Yes. A strap that has come loose, or the point where the strap is fixed, we can re-stitch or replace so the bag is usable again. Describe what's wrong when you order, and we'll see what the repair requires.
How long does a bag repair take?+
It depends on what the bag needs and which repair it is. You get a confirmation when we receive the bag and can follow the status of your order along the way.
Do you also repair the lining inside the bag?+
Yes. A worn or torn lining can be repaired or replaced, so the bag is whole and usable again. Describe the damage when you order, and we'll assess whether the lining should be repaired or replaced.
