Duvet Cleaning – Fresh, Fluffy and Hygienic Again

A duvet gathers sweat, skin cells and dust over time, even with a clean cover. We professionally clean both down and synthetic duvets, so they become hygienically clean and odour-free, and regain their loft – without the filling clumping. Order online, we pick the duvet up at home or work, clean it, and send it back fresh and ready to use.

Down and synthetic duvet cleaning

Down duvets filled with down and feathers and synthetic duvets with man-made filling need different treatment. Down must be cleaned gently and dried correctly, so the feathers don't clump and the loft is preserved, while synthetic filling takes a little more but can still lose its fluffiness if it isn't dried well enough. We adapt the method to the filling and the care label, so the duvet comes back clean and fluffy again.

Why not wash the duvet at home

A duvet is often too big for a home washing machine, and if it's packed in too tightly it doesn't get properly clean. The biggest problem is drying: a down duvet that isn't dried all the way through can develop clumps, mildew and a sour smell that's hard to get rid of, and damp down loses its loft. With the right equipment we clean and dry the duvet all the way through, so the filling stays fluffy and hygienic.

Hygiene, sweat and allergies

Even with a clean cover, a duvet takes in sweat, moisture and skin cells, which over time create a breeding ground for dust mites and odour. Regular cleaning removes this and gives a fresher, more allergy-friendly sleeping environment. We recommend cleaning your duvet every one to two years, and more often if you have allergies or sweat a lot at night.

How to order

Choose the service and briefly tell us about the duvet – down or synthetic, size and any smell or stains – when you order online. We pick the duvet up at home or work, or you drop it at a service point or partner store – you choose the shipping method in your order. Once the duvet is cleaned and dried, we send it back to you.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to clean a duvet?+

The price depends on the size of the duvet and whether it's filled with down or synthetic fibre. You see the price before you order – see the full price list on our prices page.

Can I wash the duvet at home instead?+

A small synthetic duvet can sometimes be washed at home following the care label, but down duvets and larger duvets rarely get clean or dry enough in an ordinary machine. Poor drying causes clumps, mildew and a sour smell, and damp down loses its loft. Professional cleaning is safer.

Do you clean both down and synthetic duvets?+

Yes. We clean both duvets filled with down and feathers and duvets with synthetic fibre filling, adapting the method to the filling and the care label.

How often should a duvet be cleaned?+

We recommend cleaning your duvet every one to two years for good hygiene, and more often if you have allergies or sweat a lot at night. A clean cover protects the duvet but doesn't remove the sweat and dust that has already worked its way in.

How long does duvet cleaning take?+

It depends on the duvet and the filling, since down needs to be dried thoroughly. You get a confirmation when we receive the duvet and can follow the status of your order.
