Dry Cleaning a Shirt – Washed and Pressed, Ready to Wear

A shirt looks its best when it's clean and properly pressed. We professionally wash and press shirts, and take care of collar, cuff and underarm marks, so the shirt is ready to wear again – whether for work, everyday or an occasion. Order online, we pick up at home or work, wash and press, and send the shirt back.

Washing and pressing the shirt

We wash and press shirts, both individually and several at a time, and adapt the treatment to the fabric. Home ironing rarely matches a professional press – it's easy to scorch the fabric, dark cotton can take on a shine, and poly-blends can pucker under a hot iron. We press the shirt so it gets a crisp, ready-to-wear finish without you having to iron it yourself.

Collar, cuff and underarm

Grime along the collar and cuffs is mostly body oil and dead skin that binds into the fibres – it needs a proper wash to lift, not just a quick rinse, which is why 'ring around the collar' keeps coming back. Yellowing under the arms on white and pale shirts comes from perspiration reacting with the aluminium in antiperspirant; left untreated it can set permanently and weaken the fabric. Describe the marks when you order, and we'll treat them correctly.

White, formal and special shirts

White shirts often grey over time from detergent build-up and hard-water minerals rather than from actual dirt. Formal and special shirts – a tuxedo shirt or a bunad shirt – have finer fabric and detailing that benefit from careful, professional handling and pressing. Everyday cotton shirts are perfectly home-washable following the care label; a professional wash and press is the honest win when you want a crisp finish without ironing, or for delicate and formal shirts where home ironing risks scorch marks or shine.

How to order

Choose the service and briefly tell us about the shirt and any collar, cuff or underarm marks when you order online. We pick the shirt up at home or work, or you drop it at a service point or partner store – you choose the shipping method in your order. Once the shirt is washed and pressed, we send it back to you.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to dry clean a shirt?+

The price depends on the number of shirts and on the fabric. You see the price before you order – see the full price list on our prices page.

Can you remove ring around the collar and yellow underarms?+

Grime along the collar and cuffs is mostly body oil and skin that needs a proper wash to lift. Underarm yellowing comes from perspiration reacting with antiperspirant, and is best treated before it sets. Describe the marks when you order, and we'll choose the right treatment – some marks can be removed completely, others reduced, depending on what it is and how long it has been there.

Should I just wash and iron the shirt myself?+

Everyday cotton shirts are perfectly fine to wash at home following the care label. A professional wash and press is the win when you want a crisp, ready-to-wear finish without ironing, or for delicate and formal shirts where home ironing risks scorch marks, shine on dark cotton or puckering on poly-blends.

Can you handle a tuxedo shirt or a bunad shirt?+

Yes. Formal and special shirts like a tuxedo shirt or a bunad shirt have finer fabric and detailing, and we handle and press them carefully. Briefly tell us about the shirt when you order, and we'll adapt the treatment.

How long does dry cleaning a shirt take?+

It depends on the number of shirts and any stain treatment. If you need the shirt for a specific occasion, we recommend sending it in good time. You get a confirmation when we receive the garment and can follow the status of your order.
